Reproduction : Deffinition, Types and Importance.

Reproduction and It's Types

What is Reproduction?(Deffinition) :

In which biological process an organism produce a biological similar  offspring and continued the existance of itself, is called as Reproduction.

Curious Facts :

Parent :  Those matured organisms produce their biological similar offsprings through reproduction are known as Parents.

Offspring : Those organisms are genarete from their biological similar parent through reproduction are known as Offspring.

Basic Events in Reproduction :

  • Nuclear meterial or DNA  get replicated, RNA and Protein synthesis.
  • Cells increase in number through synthesis of Protoplasmic Meterials.
  • Cell divission. In this stage Meiosis cell divvision can be occurd or not.
  • Production of Reproductive Unit.
  • New offspring born from directly meting of Reproductive unit.

Importance of Reproduction :

  • An organism can continue its existance throuh reproduce.
  • Throug reproduction an organism will maintain its Continuity of descent.
  • Reproduction maintain the Balance  of life in the world.
  • By Sextual Reproductin we can found New characters in offsprings. Thats why we can find  Variation  in the nature, which helps organism in Expression.
  • By Sextual Reproductin we can found Mutation  in organism, helps in Expression.

Continuation of Species :

In case of many species, their general lifetime is vary short and in some cases we found premature death eg. - by any disease or cought by any predator etc. Also after normal lifetime they would die for old age. So in case of any species, their population would decrease gradually. If any species don't increase it's number through reproduction, it would extaincted after some time from the nature.

So, through reproduction one species can maintain their existance years after years. Thats not all, in case of sextual reproduction we can find Variation in offsprings, which helps to create New Species after many ages.

Types of Reproduction :

Mainly reproduction in two types, namely -

        (a) Asextual reproduction,

        (b) Sextual Reproduction.

Also, in case of plants Asextual Reproduction is known as Vegetative Propagation.

Asextual Reproduction :

In which reproduction process needs only one parental species and we don't find any types meiosis cell division, formation of gamets and furtilization or sporulation. It devides body cell through Mitosis and produce a biological similar species, is known as Asextual Reproduction.

Sextual reproduction :

In which reproduction process a biological similar species produced through Fussion  of male gamete or Sperm (Produce from  Testis) and female gamete or Egg (Produce from Overy) is known as Sextual Reproduction.

Vegetative Propagation in Plant :

In which process of reproduction a new biological similer plant would born from some separeted  body part  of a plant (Specefic Part) is known as Vegetative Reproduction.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) :

What is reproduction definition in biology?

In a general sense reproduction is one of the most important concepts in biology: it means making a copy, a likeness, and thereby providing for the continued existence of species.

What are types of reproduction?

There are two types of reproduction: asexual and sexual reproduction.

Give example of reproduction.

An example of a reproduction is a copied drawing.

What are the 3 types of reproduction?

Asexual reproduction includes fission, budding, fragmentation, and parthenogenesis, while sexual reproduction is achieved through the combination of reproductive cells from two individuals.

What is reproduction and its importance?

Reproduction is the process by which new individuals are produced by the parents. The process of reproduction ensures that a plant or animal species does not disappear from Earth. This process is very important in maintaining stability in the ecosystem and for the continuation of life on earth.

How do humans reproduce?

the human reproductive process, two kinds of sex cells, or gametes , are involved. The male gamete, or sperm, and the female gamete, the egg or ovum, meet in the female's reproductive system. When sperm fertilizes (meets) an egg, this fertilized egg is called a zygote

What is the need of reproduction?

Reproduction is an important survival strategy that is used to ensure the continuation of a species. Hence, without reproduction, life would cease to exist.
